The Background

My journey began in the late 1980s with the tactile, "subtractive" ritual of the black-and-white darkroom. Developing film by hand taught me that a photograph isn’t just a capture of light—it’s a translation of feeling. With a background as an MSc in Technology, I bridge the gap between engineering precision and artistic intuition.

The Philosophy

The Untold Story I do not believe that anyone sees reality exactly as it is; we see through the lens of our own experiences, expectations, and emotional states. My work explores this subjectivity, focusing on the tension between harsh, coarse structures and softer, fleeting forms.

Through my lens, I look for the untold story—the state of being that exists beneath the surface. I prioritize character and narrative over clinical perfection, creating imagery that resonates in the quiet spaces of homes, offices, and galleries.

• Storytelling Lifestyle: Cinematic narratives that explore expectations and the POV of the subject.

• Film Portraiture: I offer dedicated analog film sessions for those seeking the organic texture and "presence" that only silver halide can provide.

• Vintage Optics: I utilize 1960s manual lenses (Super-Takumar) to bridge the gap between structural detail and soft, emotional rendering.

• Modern Environments: To expand the creative scope, I can also utilize AI to craft custom atmospheres that reflect the internal "reality" of the subject.

 

Prints and originals

Parallel to my collaborative work, I maintain a practice of deeper artistic studies. These works are frequently presented in exhibitions and are available as Fine Art Prints for those who appreciate imagery with structural and emotional depth.
